1957 RGS Atalanta MG This car features the advanced twin tube J.A.G. chassis designed by John Griffiths. It is based on MG running gear with a 1650cc race engine. Currently fitted with disk brakes, but a drum brake conversion is available with the car. The car was believed to have been raced in the 1950’s and 60’s and was discovered in a barn in 1988. The car was restored and raced in a variety of races including BRDC 50’s Sportscars, VSCC 50’s Sportscars, AMOC 50’s Sportscars, Pomeroy Throphy, Birkett, BDC and MGCC. The Car was very successful with three outright wins, class wins and podiums; copies of many of these Result sheets are on file. In 2004 the car was restored by a new owner, a new lightweight body was fitted (the old body is available) and the suspension was analysed and set up by the late world famous Alan Staniforth. A very inexpensive way to enter into 1950’s Sportscar racing. Race support package available. Please contact us for further details. £34,995
